Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla, later Saint Christopher and Nevis, (1967-1983) was an associated state of the United Kingdom located in the Caribbean. Anguilla as an unwilling participant and only nominally a part of the state, remaning for the most part under de facto British administration before it became a separate dependency of the United Kingdom in 1980. In the same year the official name was changed to Saint Christopher and Nevis to reflect these changes, and upon independence from the United Kingdom in 1983 the islands took the name of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
